Megan Stewards

Megan Stewards joined Virginia Tech as an IT project manager in June 2024. She facilitates IT projects and initiatives that have a transformative impact on the university. Megan brings significant experience in project management and leadership to Virginia Tech.
She began her career in the software industry in California where she earned her Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications. She also earned her master’s in political science at San Diego State University.
Megan returned to her home state of Virginia as the director of operations at the Girl Scouts of Virginia Skyline Council and led the council's digital and cloud transformation. She has since earned her Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certification as a release train engineer.
In her spare time, Megan and her husband provide recycling and composting services for the Blue Ridge Marathon and Go Outside Festival in Roanoke. They have two children and love teaching them to garden and steward the earth.
