Vicki Hall
Vicki Hall, Director of Strategic and Operational Planning for the Division of IT, has over 30 years of leadership experience in information technology in both the public and private sectors. Since joining Virginia Tech in 2015 she has led large strategic, transformational, and operational initiatives.
Prior to joining Virginia Tech, Ms. Hall was chief information officer for two multi-billion-dollar organizations in the private sector. Her achievements include merging IT organizations and implementing and leading IT governance, project management offices, and large-scale information technology solutions. She was on faculty in the Computer Science Department at the Cheriton School of Computer Science and a member of the mathematics faculty at the University of Waterloo in Ontario.
Ms. Hall obtained her B.Sc. in mathematics from The Ohio State University and her master’s degree in mathematics from York University in Toronto. Her accomplishments include being a finalist for Ernst and Young's Entrepreneur of the Year and publishing a computer science textbook on information systems analysis.
She is an avid gardener and member of the Master Gardeners Association and Valley of Virginia Herb Guild.
